Care Instructions:

* polish chain only with sterling silver cleaning cloth, periodically, as needed to prevent tarnishing*

*DO NOT wear in shower or spa. AVOID getting wet with water or steam. Water and steam will degrade the resin overtime, and will cause silver to tarnish.

Artist statement: "the scope of my work explores the boundaries of upcycling, reaching its most extreme form by transforming one of the world's most ubiquitous and discarded objects — the used cigarette butt — into wearable art. Pushing the limits of what we consider salvageable, taking a common piece of street trash and completely altering its nature, encasing its unique, weathered shape in layers of hand-painted, hard resin. The result is a dramatic juxtaposition: a gritty, discarded object reborn as something shiny, new, and encased in a glass-like shell. By making the overlooked untouchable — resembling a piece of fine art rather than trash — viewers are invited to rethink their perception of waste. This isn't about glamorizing smoking; it’s about the radical act of turning the ultimate piece of trash into an unforgettable statement. Ultimately, each necklace acts as a tactile artifact, preserving a fleeting, disregarded moment of human habit in a permanent, luxurious form."
